POLONIA PARK COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES– April 13, 2026 at 6 PM Meeting postponed to 4.15.26 related to inclement weather. Sharon Town Hall 6704 State Hwy 66 Custer, WI Attendees: Lori Printz, Gayle Hintz, Katie Osowski, Alyssa Gagas, Cortney Zinda Town Board Members: Invitees: Author: Katie Osowski ____________________________________________________________________________ AGENDA • Call meeting to order at 6:00pm • Roll call: Gayle, Katie, Lori, Alyssa, Cortney • Notice of public meeting & how given: Polonia Kiosk, Facebook, Town Web site, North Star Machine, Town Hall • Approval of April 13th agenda: Katie made a motion to approve April 13th’s agenda, Gayle seconded it. • Approval of March 9, 2026 Park Commission meeting minutes: Gayle made a motion to approve the March 9, 2026 Park Commission meeting minutes; Katie seconded it. • Approval of Treasurer report: Katie made a motion to approve the treasurer report, Gayle seconded it. o Checking account: $818.52 o Savings account: $18,133.80, Interest $110.07 @ .75% o CD: $50,113.53 o Shirt Sales: $80 • Discuss Egg Hunt rescheduled for Saturday, April 18th o Pack up items on Thursday, April 16th at 430pm. • Discuss/action on steak dinner fundraiser or alternative fundraiser + if approved – discuss cost, cash prizes & raffle baskets, etc Alyssa made a motion to have the August 28th’s steak dinner, Katie seconded it. • Discuss donor letter • Discuss/Action to provide a town hall key to Park co-chair & treasurer o Lori made a motion to approve a key to be given to the park co-chair and treasurer, Cortney seconded it. • Discuss 2026 goals o Lori to move this along. • Discuss/Action regarding ordering additional wood chips to playground o Lori called Cresent landscaping. A semi is 90 yards- if ordered, no delivery fee. $22/yard, if ordered 40 yards = $880 + $500 fee. ▪ Katie motioned to table the wood chips to obtain more bids, Alyssa seconded this. • Discuss/Action to add a separate “cans only” recyclable bin at park o Lori made a motion to continue to watch the can bins we have currently and table this, Cortney seconded it. • Discuss regarding Fall Fest vendors – do we want to start advertising? o Alyssa to reach out to the past vendors and then we advertise after we obtain a head count. We would like to keep around 18 vendors. o Gayle- working with Becky from the Polonia Café regarding a car show. It’s up in the air at this time. o Bounce Houses? Chair report • Rosholt Record – March edition – projects completed, discuss April options (steak dinner save the date, fall fest vendors, egg hunt w/up) • F/UP on mechanical engineer o Lori has not heard back from the mechanical engineer yet. Hopeful for the first week of May. • F/UP on bldg. sub committee o Meeting: Monday, April 20th at 6pm, at the Town Hall. • Town board mtg was Thursday, April 9th • Any new business o Lori: Bylaws need to be changed. - This will be looked at in May. o Cortney: typed up rough draft letter for donations. o Gayle: Kris Skibba- Yoga, June-September? • Schedule May meeting: Monday, May 11, 2026 at 6:00pm. • Adjournment: Katie made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 740pm, Gayle seconded it.
