CITY OF GILLETT UTILITY COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2025 AT 5:30 PM MINUTES Mayor Blaskowski called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderperson Nanette Mohr, Keri Hicks, Matt Young and Public Members Louis Danielson and Ruth Spang. Also Present: Alderpersons Ashley VanStraten, Jerry Luther, David Bunker, Utility Operator Matt Wickman, Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson, and Mayor Jon Blaskowski. Public Input: None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on August 6, 19, and October 20, 2025 Minutes MOTION: Hicks/Mohr Motion to approve minutes from August 6, 19, and October 20, 2025 Minutes Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on Cell Tower Lease-Leave Lay 3. Committee may go into closed session to discuss matters of employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of public employees pursuant to 19.85 (1c) Wis. Stats. MOTION: Mohr/Hicks Motion to go into Closed Session at 5:02 PM to include Utility Operator, Clerk, Mayor, Attorney, and Council Members. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED Discussed interviewees. MOTION: Hicks/Mohr Motion to offer the Utility Operator Assistant position to Aiden Patza. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 4. Committee will return to open session and may take action on matters discussed in closed session- MOTION: Mohr/Hicks Motion to return to Open Session at 5:58 PM. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 5. Discussion and Possible Action on hiring Utility Assistant MOTION: Hicks/Mohr Motion to offer the Utility Operator Assistant position to Aiden Patza. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 6. Set Next Meeting Date –To be determined. 7. Adjournment at 6:00 PM MOTION: Hicks/Mohr Motion to adjourn.
