CITY OF GILLETT PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2025 AT 5:45 PM MINUTES Chairperson Bunker called the meeting to order at 5:45 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Nanette Mohr, Jerry Luther, and David Bunker via phone. Alderpersons Keri Hicks and Ashley VanStraten, Mayor Jon Blaskowski and Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson. Public Norm Finnell. Public Input: None 1. Discussion and Possible action on March 6, 2025 Minutes MOTION: Mohr/Bunker Motion to approve the minutes from March 6, 2025 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible action on Scout Cabins- Conversation with Pete Vorpahl and Rick Raatz (new and former leaders in the Scouts) about moving the location of the scout cabins to maximize space in Zippel Park. Makes most sense to move to our water tower property by Finnegan Lake Road. Would get funds together outside of the city budget (fundraise/donations) if property is approved by Utility Committee. MOTION: VanStraten/Mohr Motion to approve the location of Finnegan Lake Road near the water tower for the move of the scout cabins. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3.
