CITY OF GILLETT PARKS AND CEMETERY COMMITTEE Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, MAY 1, 2025 AT 5:00 PM MINUTES Committee may deviate from the agenda as needed Chairperson Luther called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Jerry Luther, Ashley VanStraten, and Keri Hicks. Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson and Mayor Jon Blaskowski Open Meeting Law has been complied with. Public Input –None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on trees to be removed in the Zippel Park- The Fair Board would like to extend their pulling track. They are willing to pay for a tree service to take down 5 large trees in Zippel Park near the pulling track and a dead tree next to the City Hall garage if Public Works can limb and chip the branches and help load the wood. Please note: The Committee may briefly walk outside to look at the park property. The Committee will then move back to City Hall to continue the meeting. MOTION: Hicks/VanStraten Motion to approve the Fair Board to be responsible to hire a company to cut down 5 large trees in Zippel Park by the pulling track with the help of the City Public Works to help limb and chip the branches and load wood. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Set Next Meeting Date: To Be Determined 3. Adjournment at 5:15 PM. MOTION: VanStraten/Hicks Motion to adjourn.
