CITY OF GILLETT TOURISM AND MARKETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, MAY 1, 2025 AT 5:30 PM MINUTES Chairperson Luther called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Jerry Luther and Nanette Mohr, Members Marie Blaser via phone, and Chris Byars. Also Present: Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson, Mayor Jon Blaskowski, Alderpersons David Bunker, Keri Hicks, and Ashley VanStraten. City Attorney Robert Gagon. Excused Lorenzo Diaz and Deanna Smith. Public Input: 1. Discussion and Possible action on minutes from March 6, 2025 MOTION: Byars/Mohr Motion to approve minutes from March 6, 2025 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible action on Roy Hubbard Sponsorship MOTION: Byars/Mohr Motion to approve $250.00 for the Roy Hubbard Memorial Truck Show Donation. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Discussion and Possible action on Fourth of July Sponsorship MOTION: Mohr/Byars Motion to approve a donation of $1,000 to the Gillett Civic Club for fireworks. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 4. Discussion and Possible action on Tourism and Economic Development Corporation 2025 Joint Marketing Invoice MOTION: Byars/Mohr Motion to approve paying $2,000 for the Joint Marketing Invoice for TEDCOR. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye –Luther Abstains– MOTION CARRIED 5. Set Next Meeting Date- To Be Determined. 6. Adjournment at 5:38 PM MOTION: Mohr/Blaser Motion to adjourn.
