CITY OF GILLETT TOURISM AND MARKETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2025 AT 5:00 PM MINUTES Chairperson Luther called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Jerry Luther and Nanette Mohr, Also Present: Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson, Ann Ammerman, Keri Hicks, Lorenzo Diaz, Mayor Jon Blaskowski, Alderpersons Irene Drake, David Bunker via phone, and Ashley VanStraten. Public Michael Kohn. Members Chris Byars and Marie Blaser are excused. Public Input: Ask the Discovery Guide committee who plans the whole county calendar of events, and how to make sure all events are included. 1. Discussion and Possible action on minutes from February 6, 2025 MOTION: Mohr/Smith Motion to approve minutes from February 6, 2025 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible action on signage and future projects - Discussion was had about how the Village of Bonduel worked around the construction with signage and information to help the citizens and tourists maneuver through the construction. Cost estimates were about $100 per sign. MOTION: Hicks/Smith Motion to approve the adhoc committee to design and order signs, not to exceed $2,000. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Discussion and Possible action on Circus- The Circus date is August 15th and we decided it is too close to the Fair date. Will discuss in 2 years to have the circus in Gillett. MOTION: Smith/Mohr Motion to rescind approving the circus coming in 2025. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 4. Set Next Meeting Date- To Be Determined. 5.
