POLONIA PARK COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES – February 9, 2026 at 6 PM Sharon Town Hall 6704 State Hwy 66 Custer, WI Attendees: Lori Printz, Gayle Hintz, Alyssa Gagas, Cortney Zinda, Katie Osowski Town Board Members: Jeff Check Author: Katie Osowski ______________________________________________________________________________ AGENDA • Call meeting to order at 6:00pm • Roll call: Gayle, Katie, Alyssa, Cortney, Lori • Notice of public meeting & how given: North Star Machine, Polonia Kiosk, Website, Town Hall, Facebook. • Approval of February 9th agenda: Katie approved the February 9th, 2026 agenda and Cortney seconded it. • Approval of January 12, 2026 Park Commission meeting minutes: Alyssa approved the January 12, 2026 Park Commission meeting minutes, Gayle seconded it. • Approval of Treasurer report: Cortney approved the Treasurer report for 2.9.26 and Alyssa seconded it. o Checking account: $1,420.54 o Savings account: $66,523.73 (Look into a CD/Money Market- Gayle will make some calls) • Discuss /action on Scott’s port a potty service (April – October) o Lori- contacted Scott’s port-a-potty $165 every 28 days, every week cleaning throughout the summer then every two weeks. This is starting April 1, 2026. ▪ Gayle made a motion to approve Scott’s port-a-potty, Cortney seconded this. • Discuss/action on Marathon Pest Control service (April – October) o Jeff is the contact, $48/mo. same as last year. Will start April 1, 2026. ▪ Katie made a motion to approve Marathon Pest control to start on April 1, 2026. Alyssa seconded this. • Discuss/action regarding face painting vendors – (Easter Egg Hunt) o Katie got a few volunteers to assist with face painting. The commission will supply the face paint. We will ask for donations. We will request the volunteers to tally the kids that get their face painted. • Discuss Egg Hunt raffle basket donations – poster draft (Cortney to update and print the poster) o $100 from Angie and Sully o Donation from Jim and Becky o Donation of a bike from Rick and Nancy o Donation of a bike from Katie and Dan o Gayle- basket from a friend of Vickie’s o Gayle- reached out to Birds Unlimited o Cortney- making a wooden sign to raffle off. o Cortney and Robert- will donate a basket o Keller Williams- donating something o Gayle- spoke with Jackie at Feltz Dairy Store- we will make coupons for the carnival ride at the store. o Alyssa- will reach out to putt-n-play o Lori- will reach out to Angela at Country Inn and Suites o Lori- Collin’s donated a bike o Cortney- will reach out to Sentry Insurance • Gayle to reach out to Shriner’s clown • Kris Skibba- Easter Bunny again. • Start Registration at 1130am • Gayle- will ask Nate Kedrowicz for a tent to borrow • Gayle- will ask about the Cotton Candy with the Kedrowicz’s • More kids baskets then bikes? Discussion was possibly 2 bikes per age group and more baskets instead. • Popcorn- from work ~300 bags. Will charge $1.00/bag • Discuss about doing other options during the Easter Egg hunt- 50/50 raffle, Meat Raffle • Lori will obtain the temporary beer license. • Discuss/action regarding collecting for local food pantry(s) at Egg Hunt event o Gayle motioned to collect food for the local food pantries at the Easter Egg hunt, Alyssa seconded it. • Discuss/action on steak dinner fundraiser or alternative fundraiser o Katie motioned to table the steak dinner fundraiser for future meeting and Gayle seconded it. • Discuss 2026 goals Chair report • Rosholt Record – welcome 2026 in January edition, (need egg hunt poster for February edition) • F/UP on bldg subcommittee meeting – Jan 26th o Lori- Dennis Kramm questioned about the building hard ceiling due to the AC- are we going to have dry wall on the ceiling? Do we want exposed duct work? We could use mini-split? We want the mini split that hangs on the wall as we have in floor heat. David from Bushman electric asked- what kind of lights do we want? We plan on having a 10-foot ceiling height and want fans, do we want wrap around 2x4 feet or can lights out in the back and open area (yes) and towards the ball diamond. LED can lights? We would like whatever lighting give the best light, energy efficient and ensures brightness of the room. When it gets closer to the time of the next meeting we will be in contact with Wayne Bushman. We would like plenty of plug ins towards the ball diamonds as well as where crockpots would be plugged in. Most efficient. o Bill Gibbs will work on the Spec book o First Supply- Ryan Lepak gave a break down for the plumbing. • F/up on DOA grant, T-Mobile grant & WEDC grant o T-Mobile will be done after this first quarter. o Lori to call the community parks committee • Town board mtg Thursday, February 12th at 6:30 • Any new business o Gayle- no speakers for the Easter Egg hunt- ▪ Katie to talk to Kristen. (cordless) ▪ Look at purchasing one for the Polonia Park Commission. o Shirt sales during these events? Depends on volunteers. o Meeting Minutes will be posted on the website as of June’s 2026 meeting. • Schedule March meeting: Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:00pm o Stuffing Easter Eggs on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:00pm. • Adjournment: Katie made the motion to adjourn the February 9, 2026 Polonia Park Commission meeting at 8:15pm and Alyssa seconded it.
