MARCH 2025 MINUTES Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next meeting. ____________________________________________________________________________ Town of Sharon Board Meeting Monday, March 10, 2025 – 6:30 p.m. Sharon Town Hall Call to Order: Chairman Check called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Chairman Check, Supervisor Gibbs, Supervisor Gagas, Clerk Treasurer Filtz and 12 others were present. Notice of Meeting Postings: Notice of the meeting was posted in three places in the Town of Sharon (town hall window, kiosk between Sylvia’s and Polonia Café, kiosk in front of North Star Machine) and on the town website and Facebook. Approval of Agenda: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the agenda. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes of February 11, 2025, Board Meeting Minutes: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the Minutes. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Approval of the Bill Listing for February 12, 2025, through March 10, 2025: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the Bill Listing. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Plan Commission Report: Tony Dombrowski, 202106 Shrine Road, Rosholt. WI, Agent: Aaron Parks. Tony is requesting to split 16.4 acres from an existing 47-acre parcel. Currently zoned A4, Parcel : 032-25-0904-02.03. Supervisor Gibbs explained that no action was necessary on this request from the Plan Commission. The parcel is already zoned correctly. Kyle and Margaret McCarty, 707 East Crocker Street. Wausau. WI, Agent: Tom Trzinski. Kyle and Margaret are requesting to separate 5 acres from parcel: 032-24-0914-14.02 and also separate 5 acres from parcel: 032-24-0914-15.02. 40 acres total from both parcels. Zoned A4, Conservancy. Supervisor Gibbs explained that there is a swapping of 5-acre parcels among family with deeded easements. The Town Board recommended that the County work on a right-of-way plan to the back parcel. Supervisor Gibbs received an application for the Plan Commission. He will discuss with the current Plan Commission which members are willing to stay on for another term. Polonia Park Report: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve Courtney Zinda to the Park Commission with a term to expire in 2030 . Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the Bylaws of the Park Commission. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the Temporary Class B License for the Polonia Park Easter Egg Hun on April 19, 2025. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Operator License: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the Operator License for Jeff Glodowski. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Appointment of Town Clerk/Treasurer: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the appointment of Pam Filtz as the Town Clerk/Treasurer for a 3-year term. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Request for Solid Waste and Recycling Services Proposals: The Board discussed getting quoted for recycling weekly and bi-weekly and a contract that is no more than for 4 years (2029 is the max). Encroachments on Town Road Right of Way: Chairman Check reviewed a letter written by the town attorney regarding people who put pallets/stakes, etc in town right-of-way. Chip Seal/Wedging Quote: Fahrner Asphalt was the only sealed quote received. Stuczynski Trucking and Excavating was the low bid. Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to table approving the low bid until the documents can be reviewed. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Chairman’s Report: Bruce Boenski gave the Sharon EMS report. Next Meeting: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Town of Sharon Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Adjournment: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to adjourn. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
