NOTICE TO RESIDENTS TOWN OF CRESCENT MINUTES FOR TOWN BOARD BUDGET WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 4:00 P.M., CRESCENT TOWN HALL Board Members Present: Grady Hartman, Chair; Jonathan Jacobson, Supervisor; Mike Pazdernik, Supervisor; Tracy Hartman, Clerk; Carla Fletcher, Treasurer. Call to Order: Chairman Hartman called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. at the Crescent Town Hall. The meeting has been properly posted and distributed in accordance with the Wisconsin Open Meeting law and the facility is handicap accessible. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Approval of Agenda Motion by Jacobson to approve the agenda. Seconded by Pazdernik. All aye. Motion carried. 2026 Budget Update – Clerk Hartman reviewed the 2026 budget and how things are currently looking. 2027 Budget Draft – Clerk Hartman presented a tentative 2027 budget. a. Revenue i. Public Safety v. Public Works vi. Capital Improvement Projects Discussion regarding the tentative library budget. Discussion regarding town of Crescent shop repair and upgrade proposal received from Jeff Musson. Hartman proposed upgrading the existing lighting to LED, upgrading the power distribution to GFIC, adding gutters and downspouts, insulating the exterior walls, fur exterior walls, insulate the attics, install liner panel over ceilings, replace all exterior entry and overhead doors, replace all windows and purchase two new propane tanks for an estimated cost of $221,000. Discussion regarding other projects that were proposed by Musson. Hartman encouraged the board to seal the building up and see how things are after that to determine what else is needed. Discussion regarding the exhaust fan and make-up air unit proposal. Discussion regarding wages. Discussion regarding road projects and what to budget for projects in 2027.
