AGENDA FOR THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DARLINGTON TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, THE 19th DAY OF MAY 2026 AT 7:00 PM; WHICH MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL ROOM AT THE DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING, DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN 1. Call to order by presiding officer. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Roll call. 4. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. 5. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy enclosed) 6. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present. 7. Unfinished or deferred business from previous Council meetings. 8. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and Resolutions. (a) Discussion and action, if necessary, concerning the request to amend the liquor license premises for The Driver Opera House , to include a portion of W. Ann Street for a one - day event on July 25, 2026. (b) Discussion and action concerning the following recommendations from the Finance and Personnel Committee: 1. Approve hiring an applicant for the Public Works position. 2. Approve hiring an applicant for the Head of Maintenance position. (c) Discussion and action, if necessary, concerning the following recommendation from the Plan Commission: 1. Zoning change request from Darlington Mutual Insurance for their property located at 116 E Louisa Street, Darlington, WI 53530 (d) Discussion and action concerning the conditional use permit renewal request: 1. Amy Prine for her business, The Cut Above, located at 1239 Hillside Lane, Darlington, WI. 2. Hahn Thi Ngoc Wick for her business, Eternal Nails, located at 1218 Madison Street, Darlington, WI. (e) Discussion and possible action concerning the bid received to patch the parking lot by City Field. (f) Discussion and possible action concerning the bid received to asphalt the parking lot by the basketball court and City Field. (g) Discussion and possible action concerning the bid received to install/update the fire alarm system at the Municipal Building. (h) Discussion and possible action concerning bids received for the replacement of the rubber roof over the locker room area at the Municipal Building. (i) Discussion and action concerning the proposed Lease Agreement between the City of Darlington and Southwest Wisconsin Technical College for space leased on the second floor of the City of Darlington Municipal Building. The Council will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85(1)(e) for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. The Council will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85(2) Wis. Stats. to take action regarding the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business; to take action concerning a claim against the City of Darlington; and adjourn the meeting. 9.
