Minutes: Town of Stockton Board Meeting Monday, August 17th, 2026 @ 6:30 PM Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to Order by Chairman, Mike Bronk at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Maria Davis and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were present. Fire Chief, Jeremy Spencer, Deputy Fire Chief, Brian Higgins, and Assistant Chief of EMS, Carson Kaminski were also present. Three members of the public were present. 2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law – Clerk, Jennifer Zurawski, verified proper notification was given at three physical sites, on our town website, and in the paper regarding this meeting. 3. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve Agenda for Monday, August 17th, 2026. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve Minutes for the Town Board Meeting on Monday, July 13th, 2026. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – Let the record show there was none. 6. Emergency Services Report including Fire Chief General Report & EMS Report – Fire Chief, Jeremy Spencer, gave the EMS Report in Carson’s absence, he stated that they have had 17 calls since last meeting (10 Medical & 7 Trauma) totaling 69 calls for the year. Fire Chief Spencer stated they have 10 members on the roster. The department is working on getting 2 pediatric bags with pediatric supplies for Car 1 & Car 2. Window Punches were added to the frontline EMS bags. Fire Chief Spencers reported that Standing Rocks Mountain Bike races will start on 8/22/26 - 08/23/26. They also have X-Country Races on 8/27/26 and Golden Sands 50/50 Night on 09/12/2026. Fire Chief, Jeremy Spencer reported 15 calls incel our last meeting to include mutual aid calls, burning complaints, RV fire, accidents on Hwy 10 & HH. Fire Chief Spencer stated the open house will be on September 9 th, 2026. They are planning a Custer Polish Day on October 4th, working the Shriner’s Event on October 10th & 11th, and have a picture night scheduled for August 19th to get updated website photos. Fire Chief Spencer reported having one new member and welcomed Lucas Bronk. Spencer stated they received the WPS Grant for $1400 to purchase the thermal imaging camera. They also submitted for the FEMA AFG grant and DNR Grant but have not heard anything back on those awards yet. Chief Spencer reported that the DOT Inspections have been completed and all the vehicles have have been maintenance with oil changes. Pump tests have been completed and Spencer stated they are working on getting Generators for the Town complex and are just waiting on quotes from Generac. 7. Operator’s License/Retailer’s License – Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve renewal Temporary Class “B” Retail license for the Zor Shrine Funster event on 10/10/2026 – 10/11/2026, and renewal of operator license for Randall Webb. Motion carried 3-0. 8. June Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer Maria Davis gave the June 2026 Treasurer’s report. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve the June Treasurer’s report as submitted. Motion carried 3-0. 9. July Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer Maria Davis gave the July 2026 Treasurer’s report. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve the July Treasurer’s report as submitted. Motion carried 3-0. 10. Public Works Update - Chairman Bronk stated that he talked to Road Foreman Chris Kizewski and they have replaced the culverts on 4th street. Road Foreman thanked to Supervisor Terry Johnson for his help with this project. It was greatly appreciated. The road crew was also busy paving Andrew’s Lane and have picked up about 95% of the brush along the roadside. They also sprayed around the parsnip along the roadways. 11. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks #45510 – 45595 and ACH Transfers #201396 – 201404 with no voids. Motion carried 3-0. 12. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski stated the Election went well. Zurawski stated how grateful she is to have such a great staff working with her on election day. Zurawski stated she has been busy working with Cindy Davis to get all the plan commission requests, packets and agendas completed for the upcoming meetings. Zurawski stated the website is updated. Zurawski also asked the Town Board for approval to attend 3 upcoming training courses: WTA Fall Workshop (September 21st, 2026), WEC Safety Election Training (October 1st & 2nd, 2026) and the WTA Fall Convention (October 5th & 6th, 2026). The Town Board agreed these would be good events to attend, and the office will be closed on those training dates. 13. Correspondence - Let the record show there is none. 14. Items for Future meetings Next Town Board Meeting Monday, September 14th, 2026 15. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to adjourn the Town Board Meeting at 7:12pm. Motion carried 3-0.
