Town of Stockton Board Meeting
Monday, June 22nd, 2026 @ 6:30 PM
Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423
1. Call to Order by Chairman, Mike Bronk, at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor
Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, and Treasurer Maria Davis were present. Clerk, Jennifer
Zurawski, had an excused absence due to medical leave so Chairman, Mike Bronk, will be taking the
minutes for tonight’s meeting. There were no members of the public present.
2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law – Chairman, Mike Bronk, verified proper notification was
given at three physical sites, on our town website, and in two local papers for this meeting.
3. Motion, (Dodge/Johnson) Approve Agenda for Monday, June 22
nd, 2026. Motion carried 3-0.
4. Approve Minutes for the Town Board Meeting on Monday, June 8th, 2026 – This item on the agenda
was postponed until the next meeting due to the clerk’s medical leave.
5. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – Let the record show there was none.
6. Operator’s License/Retailer’s License – Chairman, Mike Bronk, stated that he spoke to Clerk, Jennifer Zurawski,
and after completing all the background checks for these applications, there was no new issues for the renewal
applications, and nothing was found on the new operator license applications she received.
Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve all applicants related to Class “A” Retail Licenses, Combination Class “B”
Retail Licenses, Cigarette and Tobacco Products Retail License, and all Operator’s Licenses on the list presented.
Motion carried 3-0.
7. Public Works Update – Chairman Bronk, stated he spoke to Road Foreman, Chris Kizewski, and they are
doing some preliminary work on the Plow Trucks and doing some ditch mowing done as well. The road
crew is looking forward to getting the cul-de-sacs paved as well. Chris also stated that the new full-time
and part-time help is doing an amazing job and working out well.
8. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks #45418 – 45451 and
ACH Transfers #201385 – 201388. Motion carried 3-0.
9. Clerk’s Report - Chairman Bronk, stated Clerk Zurawski left a list for him to read. Clerk Zurawski stated
she performed all background checks for new and renewal liquor licenses. Clerk Zurawski printed and
mailed all absentee ballots before deadline, including overseas ballots. Clerk Zurawski has updated the
website for June and July. She spoke with WRS and Michael is now switched over since he was already
in the system from his previous job. Clerk Zurawski also spoke to Mike Bembenek asking to get the first
6 months of building permits to me by July 1
st.
10. Correspondence – Supervisor Jeanne Dodge asked to be included in the emails about the Ordinance
Rewrite Portage County meeting that Chairman Bronk has been attending. Chairman Bronk encouraged
her to attend any meeting she wants as they are open to the public.
11. Items for Future meetings
Standing Rocks Construction Meeting June 24th, 2026 @ 4:15pm
Next Town Board Meeting July 13th, 2026 @ 6:30pm
12. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to adjourn at 6:39pm. Motion carried 3-0.
