Minutes: Town of Stockton Board Meeting Monday, June 8th, 2026 @ 6:30 PM Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to Order by Chairman, Mike Bronk, at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Maria Davis, and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were present. Fire Chief, Jeremy Spencer, Deputy Fire Chief, Brian Higgins, and Assistant Chief of EMS, Carson Kaminski were also present. 15 Members of the Public were present. 2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law – Clerk, Jennifer Zurawski, verified proper notification was given at three physical sites, on our town website, and in two papers for this meeting. 3. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve Agenda for Monday, June 8 th, 2026. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve Minutes for the Town Board Meeting on Monday, May 11th, 2026. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve minutes for the Board of Review Meeting on Thursday, May 28th, 2026. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – Let the record show there was none. 7. Recognition Award Presentation for Dennis Lepak – Representative Vincent Miresse was her to present Dennis Lepak with a plaque to honor his nomination for First Responder of the year! Our Town Board also took a minute to acknowledge its dedication to the Town of Stockton. It was a nice tribute and well deserved for Dennis’s many years of service. 8. Emergency Services Report including Fire Chief General Report & EMS Report – Assistant Chief of EMS, Carson Kaminski, gave the EMS report today stating they had 11 calls since last meeting (9 – Medical, 2 -Trauma). Assistant Chief Kaminski stated they have 12 active members, and they have a returning member starting soon, Danielle Thomason. He reported that the old EMS bags were given to Amherst Fire District and new vials of Epinephrine are coming soon, old ones expire on 7/1/26. The EMS department will be attending the 4th of July Parade, Riverfront Apparatus Display on 7/5/26, and have Standing Rocks Mountain Bike races on 8/22/26 & 8/23/26. Fire Chief, Jeremy Spencer, reported 6 calls since last meeting to include two grass fires, mutual aid calls, gas leak, and burning complaint. Chief Spencer stated they will have their Swearing in Ceremony on June 10th, 2026. He also stated that the Open House is scheduled for September 9th. Chief Spencer reported a resignation from Owen Wolfe-Shirek as he is moving out of state and that the Fire department received a sizable donation from a business in Stockton for our utility trailer. The Trailer is ordered and the department is very grateful for the donation. Chief Spencer also stated that they will be installing the wi-fi nodes in the Town Halll over the next few weeks, and they ran 2 new wires from the garage and Town Hall already in preparation for the project. 9. May Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer, Maris Davis, gave the May 2026 Treasurer’s Report. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve May Treasurer’s Report as submitted. Motion carried 3-0. 10. Public Works Update – Road Foreman, Chris Kizewski, was present to give this report. He stated that they are still collecting trees from the ice storm and leaving them in big piles on the shoulder of the road, so that they can pick it up with the dump truck and payloader. They have done some road patching. Foreman Kizewski stated that were working on a ditch by Hillside, started sweeping Custer Rd and Burr Oak and have began cutting ditches. Foreman Kizewski had a lot of good things to say about the new full-time employee and part-time employee the town hired. They are showing up on time and ready to work. He is happy with the Town Board selections. 11. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks #45387 – 45417 and ACH transfers #201382 – 201384. 12. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski stated she received all the Alcohol Licensing and been working on background checks. She met with Jenni Zinda from Rural Mutual to update our building coverages. Please see the updated numbers attached in the packets. Clerk Zurawski also stated she will get Absentee ballots mailed out before her surgery on Tuesday, June 16th. She will be out on medical leave for 2 weeks after recovering but will be coming up to the Town Hall to cut payroll checks and monitor absentee ballot requests. 13. Correspondence - Let the record show there was none. 14. Items for Future meetings Next Town Board Meeting June 22th, 2026 @ 6:30pm Standing Rocks Construction Meeting June 24th, 2026 @ 4:15pm 15. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to adjourn the Town Board meeting at 7:09pm. Motion carried 3-0.
