Minutes: Town of Stockton Town Board Meeting - Special Session Monday, October 20, 2025 @ 6pm Town Hall, 7252 6 th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to Order by Town Supervisor Jeanne Dodge at 6pm. Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Sandy Walters, Clerk Jennifer Zurawski, and Assistant Chief of EMS Dennis Lepak were all present. 2. 2026 Budget Discussion – Clerk Zurawski presented the second draft of the 2026 Budget that will be published at the annual budget hearing. Clerk Zurawski went through each line item in all categories. Chairman Mike Bronk arrived at 6:06pm to join our meeting. Clerk Zurawski stated that the Tax Levy is now at 575,699, as the worksheet is up to date with the interest from Nicolet Bank for the Fire Truck Loan. That is the only addition to the Tax Levy Worksheet. The other Income line that was adjusted was the Special Charges for Garbage/Recycling. Due to the increase costs at the dumping sites, the new 2026 total for garbage/recycling based on the last invoice will be $257 for the year. Taxpayers will see the $245 Refuse on their tax bills for 2025. Discussion by the board to consolidate Fire Department/EMS Donations onto one line item. Expenses were updated to include pension increases since WRS Contributions are going up to 7.2% in 2026. Election expenses were increased to accommodate the potential for 4 elections in 2026. Discussion and approval on increasing our cleaning services payroll to $17.00 per hour in 2026 with adjustments to include payroll taxes. The $2000 increase for our Fire Chief’s yearly salary was approved. Discussion was that Jeremy Spencer is a huge asset to our Fire/EMS departments but also to our town when it comes to IT help. He is always willing to help our Roadcrew when needs arise. He is greatly appreciated by our Board and staff. Discussion by the board was to increase the roadcrew wages by 3% for their hard work and dedication to our town in 2026. Plan Commission line items were increased to accommodate more meetings due to the comprehensive plan as well as increased requests for land use developments. 3. Motion (Bronk/Johnson) to adjourn the meeting at 6:37pm. Motion carried 3-0.
