Minutes: AMENDED: Town of Stockton Board Meeting Monday, July 28, 2025 @ 5:30 PM Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to order by Chairman Mike Bronk at 5:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were all present. Assistant Chief of EMS Dennis Lepak and Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer were also present. 1 member of the public was present. 2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law - Clerk Zurawski verified proper notification was given at three physical sites, on our town website and in the paper regarding this meeting. 3. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve agenda for Monday, July 28th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting of Monday, July 14th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – No Comment 6. Emergency Services Report including Fire Chief General Report & EMS Report - Assistant Chief Lepak reported 10 calls since last report (6 Medical & 4 Trauma). Assistant Chief Lepak stated he currently has 13 members. Assistant Chief Lepak stated that they ambulance training in Amherst on 07/28/2025, and on 8/16 & 8/17 there will be mountain bike races at Standing Rocks Park that will UTV and staff. Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer reported 2 calls since last report to include a vehicle accident on US Highway 10. Fire Chief Spencer stated they have no update on the NVFC State Farm grant they applied for. Fire Chief Spencer stated they received a $500 donation from the half marathon and received more money from 2% dues. We received $18,958.69 but we budgeted $16,510 as that is what we received from the state last year which is an increase of $2,448.69. Fire Chief Spencer stated they have had several mutual aid trainings and are having their annual open hose on September 10, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm. 7. Discussion of Standing Rocks Project – Chairman Bronk stated that he spoke to Dexter from Gremmer & Associates and with a few small changes to the project we are now in budget. Resident Brian Karch, who lives on Standing Rocks Road, had a few questions regarding the right of way and the flags that were placed in his yard. They also have upcoming cross country meets at Standing Rocks Park on 9/13, 10/14, and 10/25. 8. 2025 Budget Amendments – No action was taken. 9. Operator’s License/Retailer’s License – Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve renewal Temporary Class “B” Retail license for the Zor Shrine Funster event on 10/12/2025 – 10/13/2025, and renewal of operator license for Randall Webb. Motion carried 3-0. 10. Public Works Update – Chairman Bronk stated that the old plow trucks, dump trucks and other misc. equipment has been posted on WI Surplus. We have another week to wait until the auction closes. Chairman Bronk stated that during the last storm there was a tree down on 9th Street and K. 11. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks #44767-44783 and ACH Transfers 201303-201305. Motion carried 3-0. 12. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski stated she has been working with Cindy Davis to get all the Plan Commission packets together and materials posted. Clerk Zurawski stated that the website is all up to date for August & September. Clerk Zurawski reported all the alcohol operator licenses background checks have been completed, and DOR reports are complete. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge left at 6:18pm to attend the Wisconsin Towns Association (WTA) Meeting. 13. Correspondence – No Comment 14. Adjourn – Motion (Johnson/Bronk) to adjourn the meeting at 6:24pm.
