Minutes: Town of Stockton Board Meeting Monday, June 9th, 2025 @ 6:30 PM Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to order by Chairman Mike Bronk at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Sandra Walters, and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were all present. Three members of the public were present. 2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law - Clerk Zurawski verified proper notification was given at three physical sites, on our town website and in the paper regarding this meeting. 3. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve Agenda for Monday, June 9th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting on May 12th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve minutes for the Public Hearing on May 12th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting on May 19th, 2025. Motion carried 3-0. 7. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – No Comment 8. Opening & Discussion of Chip Sealing Bids – The Board opened and discussed the two sealed bids they received from Fahrner & Scotts Construction. Motion (Bronk/Johnson) to postpone a decision until the next meeting to allow the board time to review the bids received. Motion carried 3-0. 9. Discussion of Profit and Loss Summary for 2nd Quarter – Treasurer Walters stated that the refuge charges were not pulled from the January settlement from the County making line item 46420 off and line item 41110 would change. Clerk Zurawski stated the workers’ compensation has not been corrected yet which is throwing the legislative expense line item 51102 off. 10. Discussion of Unifirst Contract Renewal – Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to accept the 3-year contract with the price points listed on this contract for each piece of equipment. Motion carried 3-0. 11. Operator’s License/Retailer License – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve a new operator license for applicant Zachary Sweet and a Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s License for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association for an event on 06/14/2025. Motion carried 3-0. 12. Public Works Update - Chairman Bronk stated the road crew is finishing up final chip sealing patches on the town roads, Nick has been mowing and doing shoulder work. Chairman Bronk also made note that 2 tires needed to be replaced on the mower tractor and all tires were replaced on the F550. 13. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve: Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks 44633 – 44678 and ACH transfers to include 201283 and 201286 – 201293 with no voids. Motion carried 3-0. 14. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski stated the DOR maintenance of effort was filed & completed today with the help of Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer. Clerk Zurawski received all liquor licenses from all the local establishments. She has completed all the background checks and posted the legal notices stating the Town Board will meet to approve these licenses at our next meeting on June 23rd. Clerk Zurawski has updated the website calendar for the next two months, she has posted all the new permit applications and updated the budgets to be current. Clerk Zurawski reported that the WISLR road ratings will be due this year, and I have completed the necessary paperwork to get us on the list as well as completed the online summary. 15. Correspondence - Chairman Bronk stated there is some concerns with vacation and sick time not being taken before time is taken off for some employees. He asked the board to review the Employee handbook so we can update or make new changes to the Vacation and Sick time policy. 16. Items for Future meetings – Clerk Zurawski stated there will be a Public Hearing on June 23rd, starting at 6:30pm with our normal scheduled Town Board meeting to follow. 17.
