1 AMERY PLAN COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS June 25 , 2026 The Plan Commission for the City of Amery met on Thursday – June 25 , 2026 , at City Hall . Rick Van Blaricom ; called the meeting to order at 9 :0 0 a .m. Present: Members – Rick Van Blaricom , Eric Elkin, Paul Isakson , Brianna White , Scott Carlson (left at 10:47am) and Pat Cahill. Staff present: Alex Mansfield-City Administrator and Taylor Larson -Clerk/Treasurer Others present – Claire Stickler with MSA , Sharon Marks and Dave Walker – Amery Lions Club Motion by Cahill; seconded by Elkin to reverse agenda item s 1 and 2. Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. Motion by Carlson; seconded by Isakson to add Public Comment to future agendas. Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. Motion by Elkin ; seconded by Cahill to approve the agenda. Ayes – 7 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. 1. Discussion about Zoning and Building Permit fees on charity projects – Administrator Mansfield presented to the committee that the City received a request to waive Zoning and Building fee s on charitable projects such as ADA egress ramps from homes. The City can make a decision about the Zoning fee, but much of the Building permit fee is controlled by the Building Inspector. The commission discussed. Motion by Carlson; seconded by Elkin to recommend to Council to w aive the Zoning fees on charitable action of means of egress for homes. Roll Call Ayes – Elkin, White, Van Blaricom, Cahill, Isakson, Carlson Nays – None Motion Carried. 2. Zoning Code Rewrite Update and Discussion – Claire Stickler with MSA w as present to review uses in the newly proposed zoning districts , accessory structures in zoning code, and the fence portion of the zoning code . Commission members discussed the proposed items, offered feedback, and asked clarifying questions . Motion by Cahill , seconded by Elkin adjourn at 11: 1 2 a .m. Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion Carried.
