1 RECYCLING COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS June 2 , 202 6 The Amery Recycling Committee met on June 2, 202 6 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a m . Presen t: Jason Bottolfson, Gloria Lansin , Fran Duncanson and Tina Riley Others Present: Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Meeting called to order by Lisa Gunderson Motion by Duncanson ; seconded by Lansin ; to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. New Business 1. Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair. Duncanson was nominated unanimously as Chair and Riley was nominated unanimously as Vice Chair. 2. Approval of Minutes from 0 5 /0 5 /2026 : The committee reviewed the minutes. Motion by Lansin ; seconded by Bottolfson ; to accept the minutes from 0 5 /0 5 /2026 as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 3. Polk County Recycling Update : Tina Riley updated the committee : Bids approved for the conveyors and glass breaker. Hazard waste to the Somerset location going well. Power Point for schools on why to recycle. 4. June Topic – Farmers Market “ Bring your own bags ” – Gloria mentioned that she observed that customers are bringing their own bags. 5. July Topic – Event Recycling -Tina asked that April Ziemer be sent her contact information for events recycling containers . Tina mentioned that Polk County will not have staff to man restrooms for events. 6. August Topis – No discussion. Will address in July 7.
