1 RECYCLING COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS May 5, 202 6 The Amery Recycling Committee met on May 5 , 202 6 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 2 :0 0 p m . Presen t: Gloria Lansin , Fran Duncanson and Tina Riley Others Present: Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Duncanson was nominated by Riley and Lansin to conduct the meeting. Motion by Riley; seconded by Lansin ; to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 3 Nays – 0 Motion carried. New Business 1. Approval of Minutes from 0 4 /0 8 /2026 : The committee reviewed the minutes. Motion by Riley ; seconded by Duncanson ; to accept the minutes from 04/08/ 2026 as presented. Ayes – 3 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 2. Polk County Recycling Update : Tina Riley updated the committee : Amery, Clear Lake and St. Croix Falls schools did tours of the new recycling center on Hwy 8 for Earth Day . The recycling center will be accepting appliances at no cost beginning in 2027. 3. May Topic – Lawn care waste disposal and promotion of non-pesticides for lawn care – There will be no citations issued in May to promote “ No Mow May ” per the City Administrator. 4. June Topic – Farmers Market “ Bring your own bags ” – Gloria will ask the event coordinator to promote on their Facebook page. 5. July Topic – Event Recycling -Tina asked for contact information on the scheduled summer events to contact them with information on obtaining recycling bins. 6.
