1 AMERY SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS April 21 , 2026 The Amery City Council met on April 21 , 2026 , at the Amery City Center . Mayor, Rick Van Blaricom called the meeting to order at 5 :09 p.m. Roll Call: Clerk-Treasurer , Taylor Larson conducted Roll Call. Present: Mayor , Rick Van Blaricom ; and Alderpersons ; Jason Bottolfson ; Eric Elkin; Adam Honl, and Roger Van Someren . Staff Present: City Administrator, Alex Mansfield; Clerk -Treasurer , Taylor Larson ; Police Chief , Dan Peters ; and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Others present: Tom Stangl – Amery Free Press and members of the public. Motion by Alderperson Van Someren ; seconded by Alderperson Elkin to adopt the agenda. Ayes – 4 Nayes – 0 Motion Carried. New Business 1. Swearing in Ceremony with Oaths of Office given to: Mayor, Alderperson District 1, Alderperson District 2, and Alderperson At-Large – Clerk-Treasurer Larson swore in Rick Van Blaricom, Eric Elkin, Adam Honl, and Jason Bottolfson. 2. Committee and Commission Appointments – The appointments were not ready for the Organizational meeting and will be handled at the next Council meeting. Motion by Alderperson Elkin ; seconded by Alderperson Honl ; to table c ommittee and c ommission a ppointments until the May Council Meeting. Ayes – 4 Nayes – 0 Motion Carried. 3. Resolution 6-2026 Designating Public Depositories for Public Monies Held by the City of Amery – Per state statute the City must designate public depositories for the year. The city has funds with Pillar Bank, Westconsin Credit Union, and Old National Bank. Motion by Alderperson Van Someren ; seconded by Alderperson Bottolfson to approve Resolution 6-2026 designating public depositories for the public monies held by the City of Amery. Roll Call Vote Ayes – Bottolfson, Elkin, Honl, Van Someren Nayes – None Motion Carried 4. Resolution 7-2026 Designating the Official Newspaper of the City of Amery – Per state statute the City must designate a official newspaper for the year. The Amery Free Press is the local paper. Motion by Alderperson Honl ; seconded by Alderperson Elkin to approve Resolution 7 -2026 designating the official newspaper of the City of Amery. 2 Roll Call Vote Ayes – Bottolfson, Elkin, Honl, Van Someren Nayes – None Motion Carried Motion by Alderperson Elkin ; seconded by Alderperson Honl ; to adjourn at 5: 17 P.M.
