1 RECYCLING COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS April 8 , 202 6 The Amery Recycling Committee met on April 8 , 202 6 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 9 :3 1 a m . Presen t: Mike Manor , Gloria Lansin , Fran Duncanson and Tina Riley Others Present: Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Motion by Duncanson ; seconded by Lansin ; to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. New Business 1. Approval of Minutes from 02/03/2026 : The committee reviewed the minutes. Motion by Riley ; seconded by Duncanson ; to accept the minutes from 02/03/2026 as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 2. Polk County Recycling Update : Tina Riley updated the committee : Public Works and Public Safety are scheduled to tour the facility on April 24 th along with being open to the public for tours that day. Bids are going out for glass recycling containers. Electronic Recycling Day is scheduled for Polk County on October 15 th , City of Amery on October 22 nd . Dynamic has a list of what items to accept. Clear with Jeff Mahoney that exercise items are ok. 3. March Topic – Medication disposal – Electronic sign has information running for March. 4. April Topic – Earth Day/Month – Arts, Parks and Rec. committee is doing a park cleanup on May 9 th . Need details from Alex Mansfield. 5. May Topic – Lawn care waste disposal and promotion of non-pesticides for lawn care – It was asked if the City of Amery would promote and have Public W orks take a class on use of pesticides to protect themselves. 6.
