August 2022 Minutes

Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date: August 1, 2022 at 6:00 pm at SCI Members Present: Amy Strobach, Ture & Lisa Duden., Cindy Soderberg, Rodney Fall, Dale Wood, Wendy Schoggins. The meeting was called to order by Ture. Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the July meeting were review. Amy made a motion to accept the secretary’s report seconded by Lisa. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: The report was reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Cindy. Motion carried. Old Business: No update for the Non Profit Status. Amy continues to work on this. Wendy asked that the unapproved meeting minutes be sent out to the civic and commerce members as a way to stay informed on what transpired at the meeting. Cindy agreed to send the unproved minutes. New Business: Ture brought up that Greg Toombs was asking about doing a truck pull Saturday after the horse pull on Clear Lake Days. There was discussion about a budget, who would work it. What was needed, etc. We suggested Greg come to a meeting and we can discuss further. Brat Stand this week August 4th & 5th. Clear Lake Royalty will work the stand. Lisa spoke with Raising the Bar about our Appreciation get together. They will work with us on setting a date, food etc. Amy tendered her resignation as the Miss Clear Lake Coordinator effective September 1st of this year. Leona Voss will take over as Coordinator. Lisa made a motion to donate $100 to the ‘Stuff the Bus’ that the Lions are working on to bring school supplies to the school. Amy seconded; motion carried. Cindy made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Amy. Next meeting will be September 12th at 6p at SCI.
