Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date May 2, 2022 The meeting was called to order by President Ture Duden at 6:00 pm. with Lisa Duden, Amy Strobach, Cindy Soderbeg, Tanya Roth, Ray Cress, Leona Voss, Rodney Fall, Wendy Schoggins present. Secretary’s Report: Secretary’s report was reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept, seconded by Tonya Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: The report for April was reviewed. We wll switch to Clear Lake after all the checks clear. Lisa made a motion to accept, seconded y Cindy. Motion carried Old Business: Clear Lake Days: Parade: Registration link on website . All good with help Stage: down pmt was made for rental. Carnival: Permission to close 5th place for more room for the carnival Beer Tent: still looking for l p-4p Sat. 4-5 people needed. Coronation: will be at the Covenant church. Covenant Church to hold Sunday services under the tent. Horse Pull: Larson’s will help. CLCC food stand. Need people to run stand. Medallion Hunt: Amy will talk with Brian Wick Balloon Artist: Alison wants to sponsor Sawdust pile: In front of the Midway. Sponsored by lst Bank of Baldwin. Entertainment for Thursday night was discussed. Discussed options. No decision was made. Poster: Poster proof will be ready the week after the paper is out. Kickoff to Summer: no update. Event scheduled for June 4, 2022. Derby: no update. Event set for May 14, 2022. Non profit status: no update New Business: Old stage: Decided to sell. Advertisement for CL Days: decided to put two ads in Yellow paper 4×5 ads. Wendy will design the ads, Amy will get her the details for the ad. CL Court Bonding day went well. Leona brought up the girls interviewing Mardell Anderson who was involved in the first Miss Clear Lake. Other: Ray gave an update to the All School Reunion. Nineteen classes will be represented.
