August 2021 Minutes

Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date August 2, 2021 Members Present: Amy Strobach, Tanya Jo Roth, Cindy Soderberg, Lisa & Ashton Duden. The meeting was called to order by Tanya. Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the July meeting were reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept the Secretary’s Report with corrections, seconded by Amy, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: The report was reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Cindy, motion carried. Old Business: October 9th Derby was discussed. It was decided to have the October 9th derby with the condition that 120 cars preregister. Movie in the Park Update: the movie was canceled for August. Brat Stand Update: Around $1000 was raised at the July Brat Stand. The next brat stand day is August 19-20th, the Clear Lake Court will help again. Stage: The stage is in need of repair. We will look into what it needs and cost. We discussed the events coming up. We will do the Elf Escape again in lieu of the Holiday Stroll Santa Day will be at the Ambulance Garage again this year We signed the contract with Greg Elliot fireworks again this year Gazebo: we will again decorate the gazebo for Holiday pictures for the community New Business: Clear Lake Elementary sent us an email asking if we would like to have a table at the Open House on September 1st. Some thought this would be a good way to reach out to the community showing the events we do throughout the year in hopes of sparking interest and maybe get some newcomers to attend our meetings. Amy & Cindy will work on a presentation board for the open house. Amy made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Cindy. Next meeting will be September 13, 2021 at 7p at SCI.
