Stockton Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Minutes: Town of Stockton Town Board Meeting Special Session Monday, October 21 st, 2024 @ 6pm Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to Order by Supervisor Jeanne Dodge at 6:00pm. Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Sandy Walters, Clerk Jennifer Zurawski, Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer, and Deputy Fire Chief Brian Higgins were present. Chairman Mike Bronk was excused due to a work emergency. 2. 2025 Budget Discussion – Clerk Zurawski presented the first draft of the 2025 Budget that will be published at the annual budget hearing. Clerk Zurawski stated we will need to increase garbage/recycling costs in 2025 to cover expense increase based on this year. Chairman Mike Bronk arrived at 6:08pm. Clerk Zurawski suggested we create a new capital outlay line for future expenses with the purchase of town hall generators in mind. Clerk Zurawski also suggested we be proactive and start saving for election equipment replacement by saving $2000 per year starting in 2025 to be able to purchase replacement equipment in 4 or 5 years. Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer asked to delete some expense lines within his department and allocate the money to other line items within the public safety department. 3. Motion to adjourn (Johnson/ Bronk) at 6:48pm. Motion carried 3-0.
