Town of Stockton Board Meeting
Monday, October 14th, 2024 @ 6:30 PM
Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423
1. Call to order by Chairman Mike Bronk at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge,
Supervisor Terry Johnson, Treasurer Sandra Walters and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were all present. 1 Member of the
public was present.
2. Certify compliance with Open Meeting Law – Chairman verified proper notification was given at three physical sites,
on our website and in the paper of this meeting.
3. Motion (Johnson/ Dodge) to approve Agenda for Monday, October 14th, 2024. Motion carried 3-0.
4. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting on September 30th, 2024. Motion carried
3-0.
5. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – Supervisor Terry Johnson stated Alliant Energy will not allow 3 switches to
run on one generator so they will all need a separate generator. They will be here this week to work on sizing each
generator up to meet each building specs. Johnson also stated that there will need to be 3 separate meters for each
generator.
6. Public Works Update - Chairman Mike Bronk stated that Nick is still cutting the sides of the roads throughout the
town. Bronk also stated the flow trucks are being looked over, so they are ready for winter. Bronk also stated that
the roadcrew has been busy with spreading gravel and grading the dirt roads in preparation for plowing.
7. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve - Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approved checks 44140 – 44198 and ACH
transfers 201227- 201233. Motion carried 3-0.
8. Clerk’s Report - Clerk Zurawski stated the WTA Convention was very good, and she attended the 2% due training
and feels confident she will be able to work with the fire department to fulfill those reports for next year. Clerk
Zurawski stated that tomorrow she will be attending the Election training at the County. Clerk Zurawski has been
processing many mail in absentee ballots and will have in-person voting starting on Tuesday October 22nd.
9. Correspondence - No Comment
10. Items for Future meetings – Chairman Bronk stated we will need to add the Storage Unlimited LLC to the next
meeting agenda.
11. Budget Updates & Discussion – Plan is for the board to meet on October 21st to discuss the first draft of the 2025
Budget.
12. Motion (Johnson/ Bronk) to adjourn the meeting at 6:59pm (3-0).
