Land Use / UW-Extension Committee Meeting Minutes Date: September 17, 2026 Time: 9:00 a.m. Place: Courthouse County Board Room 101; 126 Cherry St; Phillips, WI 54555 Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Robert Kopisch, Committee Chairperson. Roll Call: Present: Jenifer Baratka, Michelle Drobnik, Doug Erickson, Rachel Hoffman, Robert Kopisch, Larry Meives, Jeff Ulrich. Also present: Brian Ernst, County Board Chairperson; Paula Houdek (online), County Board Vice- chairperson; Evan Lund, Land Conservation & Zoning Administrator; Amber Rehberg, UW -Extension Director; Nick Trimner, County Administrator. Items For Discussion and Possible Action UW-Extension 1. Call to order and Roll Call: same as above 2. Public Comment: None Communications: None 3. Discussion on Staffing a Full-Time UW Extension Educator: Motion Drobnik/Erickson to forward to the County Board the recommendation to staff a full-time positive youth development educator for Price County for the following year. Motion carried. 4. Adjourned at 9:17 a.m. Land Conservation 1. Call to Order and Roll Call : Meeting called to order at 9:17 a.m. by Robert Kopisch, Committee Chairperson. Roll call as stated above. 2. Public Comment: None. Communications: None. 3. Wildlife Damage Specialist: Jeremy Irish introduced Cade Strehlow, the new D amage Program representative for the county. 4. 2027 Wisconsin Deer Donation Agreement & Signature : There isn’t currently anyone processing venison for the program in Price County. 5. 2027 County Budget/Financial Plan & Signature: Motion Drobnik/Ulrich to approve the budget as presented. Motion carried. 6. Department Reports: No reports at this time. Clean sweep will be next Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in Park Falls from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 7. Adjourned at 9:27 a.m. Zoning 1. Call to Order and Roll Call: Meeting called to order at 9:27 a.m by Robert Kopisch, Committee Chairperson. Roll call as stated above. 2. Public Comment: None Communications: The ordinance pertaining data centers is still pending, waiting on the WCA legal to provide further information. 3. Land Division submitted by Tim Vreeland, on behalf of Jeff Redetzke to create one lot, Town of Worcester. Motion Ulrich/Erickson to approve the land division requested. Motion carried. 4. Land Division submitted by Beth Bant, on behalf of Lyle Garbelman to create one lot, Town of Prentice. Motion Drobnik/Ulrich to approve the land division request contingent on the 66 ft easement. Motion carried. 5. Department Reports: Mid-October will be the Land Sale; communications to the Town clerks will be mailed soon. The permits report was presented and is on file. 6. Adjourned at 9:37 a.m. Miscellaneous 1. Minutes from July 23, 2026: Motion Ulrich/Baratka to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried. 2. Committee Vouchers Motion Drobnik/Erickson to approve the vouchers as presented for a total of $24,673.14. Motion carried. 3. Set Next Meeting Date: October 22, 2026, and November 19, 2026 4.
