Town of Stockton Board Meeting
Monday, September 9th, 2024 @ 6:30 PM
Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423
1. Call to order by Chairman Mike Bronk at 6:30 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor
Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, Clerk Jennifer Zurawski, and Treasurer Sandra Walters were
all present. No members of the public were present.
2. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve Agenda for Monday, September 9th, 2024. Motion carried 3-0.
3. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting on August 26th, 2024. Motion carried
3-0.
4. Anyone wishing to Address the Board - None
5. Public Works Update – Chairman Bronk reported Road Foreman Chris Kizewski and Town Employee Lorin
Chojnacki have been taking some time off these past few weeks. Chairman Bronk also reported that Road
Foreman Kizewski picked up the new tractor from the Town of Wausau last week. Chairman Bronk also reported
that the road crew has reached out the B&B Paving and American Asphalt to get quotes for Custer Drive to be
repaved. It was noted that the road crew is also clearing out the shed with some pieces they are looking to sell.
6. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks 44092 – 44122 and ACH
Transfers 201218 – 201222. Motion carried 3-0.
7. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski reported that the office will be closed on Monday, September 16th to attend the
WTA Fall Conference. Clerk Zurawski suggested we move our Town Board meeting to September 30th as we
have a WTA meeting in Junction City on September 23rd. Clerk Zurawski stated that election materials are ready
for pickup so she will be collecting those from the County tomorrow. Clerk Zurawski reported that the ES&S bill
was for a one-time yearly fee to service the DS200 and all the Express Vote machines.
8. Budget Discussion – Supervisor Dodge expressed concern about the capital improvements projects in the Town
Hall this year were not placed in the correct places on the line items in the budget. The Town Board discussed
holding off on completing more projects this year and to add it to our Budget for 2025.
9. Correspondence - Chairman Bronk stated that the Standing Rocks Public Involvement meeting went well and
there was a map available with a short presentation to show the design of the project. The meeting was well
attended, and he felt the questions and concerns of the town residents were addressed and answered.
10. Motion (Johnson/Bronk) to adjourn the meeting at 7:04pm. Motion carried 3-0.
