Price County Opioid Ad-Hoc Committee Meeting Minutes Date: August 12, 2026 Time: 12:00 p.m. Place: Courthouse County Board Room 101; 126 Cherry St; Phillips, WI 54555 Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 12:00 p.m. by Paula Houdek, Committee Chairperson. Roll Call Members Present: JoJo Baratka, Kayla Borgen, Mike Borgen, Megan Enders, Jessica Folstad (virtual), Rachel Hoffman, Paula Houdek, Tiffany Palecek, LT. Blaine Peterson, LT. Danielle Peterson, Sarah Reese-Socha, Chana Rymarkiewicz, Nick Trimner Members Excused: Sherry Graham, Deenah King, Laurie Mckuen, Marvin Nevelier Items For Discussion and Possible Action 1. Public Comment and Communications: None. 2. Minutes from July 8, 2026, Meeting: Motion Palecek/Baratka to approve the minutes from the July 8, 2026, Meeting. Motion carried. 3. Discussion/Recommendations for Utilizing Opioid Funding : Discussion and review of the list of preliminary recommendations for utilizing Opioid funding, and the resolution process. A recommended list is presented to the Health and Human Services Board (HHSB) and they create the resolution to approve the funding. Next, the HHSB sends the resolution to the Price County Board of Supervisors for consideration. As of today, the Opioid Committee has met four out of five allotted meetings. Mark Distin was available to answer questions about the Genesis Program, a curriculum being rolled out to His House of Hope, with a residency of eight men. His House of Hope presented a quote for a surveillance system, and it is on file. 4. Recommend a List of Opioid Funding to the Health and Human Services Board Motion Palecek/Reese-Socha to go ahead with bringing this to the board for approval. Motion carried. The list will be presented at the September Health and Human Services Board meeting. 5. Next meeting: September 9, 2026 6. Agenda Items for Next Meeting: Finalize Opioid Funding Recommendations 7.
