    • Staff background & training Serious

An administrative penalty will be recommended as a result of this citation, per HRC ?42.078. During this inspection, I observed a caregiver to be leaving for lunch (that I knew by name) that I did not recognize as having a current approved background check. It was found that the caregiver left working at the operation for a short period of time and their background check was not re-run when they were hired back. This was corrected at inspection when this was discovered, and they told the caregiver not to return until the background check has been run and re-approved. This brought the operation back into compliance..

HHSC 745.641 — AP Background check results - Must receive notification prior to allowing subject to be present at your operation

HHSC risk weight: High. Corrected at inspection. Corrected 2024-03-25.
